| The alphabet consist of vowels ( a, e, i, o, u,) and consonants ( b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z ). Early letter knowledge is advantageous to reading success. Students should be encouraged to identify, name and write letters. This can be achieved by teaching students alphabet songs, using a variety of alphabet games and writing/tracing activities that encourage the learning of individual letter characteristics. These alphabet worksheets will help students to identify letter sounds at the beginning, medial and ending positions. They can also be used to reinforce letter sequencing and writing. Remember, all children do not learn at the same pace, some students need much more reinforcement than others, be patient. |
